AUSSIES KEEP ON CRUISING

WELCOME!

Cruising international waters  is no longer the sole domain of “the nearly dead, the over-fed, and the newly-wed” so it is crucial that travellers know what is happening on the cruise scene in Australasia as well as further afield.

With that focus in mind, australiancruisingnews has arrived.

As a seasoned travel writer who stumbled on the joys of cruising I am now addicted to ‘life onboard’. I look forward to these sea-going adventures and hope that my sharing inspires readers. Your news and views will always be welcome.

Right now a fleet of international cruise ships are navigating the Southern Hemisphere tempting more Aussies than ever before to stretch their ‘sea legs’ with a vast array of cruise choices.

And there is no sign of this huge swell abating as cruise lines have already locked Australasia into their 2014 itineraries alongside a swag of exotic international destinations.

Smaller cruise ships sailing on river routes through Europe, Asia, and further afield will also be featured on australiancruisingnews in the months ahead.

Cruise news log: The long standing travel boycott on Myanmar (Burma) has been lifted and there is a rush to this fresh new destination for cruises through that country’s heartland on the Irrawaddy River. At close quarters, passengers see golden temples, pagodas and monasteries, a wealth of faded colonial architecture, and tranquil bamboo villages where oxcarts still work the fields. Ocean going ships such as Silversea and Regent Seven Seas also have Myanmar on their itineraries.
