ONCE a quiet backwater on the international cruise scene, Australia is now a major player as locals take to the seas in record numbers.
Right now australiancruisingnews.com notes that a battle royal is playing out as Royal Caribbean International throws out the gauntlet to P&O Cruises which has been the main stalwart in Australian waters in recent years.
P&O is promising “earthlings” an out-of world cruise experience, while Royal Caribbean says “it’s time” to excite the senses.
So check out the contrasting videos below:
P&O have three cruise ships, Pacific Dawn, Pacific Jewel and Pacific Pearl based in Australian ports year-round for cruises to South Pacific Islands as well as around Australia and to New Zealand, Next year Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden will join the fleet Down Under for similar South Pacific itineraries, pocruises.com.au
Royal Caribbean will also offer cruise passengers Down Under fairly similar sailings on Voyager of the Seas, Radiance of the Seas, and Rhapsody of the Seas throughout summer in the southern hemisphere, royalcaribbean.com.au
